The integration of French methodologies in land registration has led to
significant advancements in land administration practices across the globe. These
methodologies, recognized for their legal clarity and cadastral precision, are widely
adopted in countries seeking to modernize their land governance systems (Dupont,
2019). However, effective implementation of these methods hinges significantly on the
command of the English language. English serves not only as a medium for international
communication but also as the key to accessing global research, technical documentation,
training programs, and international collaboration networks (Smith & Patel, 2020). This
paper explores the pivotal role of English in facilitating the adoption of French
techniques in land registration, emphasizing its importance in accessing global resources,
ensuring standardization, and fostering international partnerships. Furthermore, the
paper evaluates relevant case studies, identifies current challenges, and offers strategic
38recommendations to enhance the impact of English in the field of land registration,
particularly in non-Francophone and developing nations.
