Abstract

The role of English language in the global fields of metrology and

standardization is discussed in this article. As the dominant language of international

communication, English is widely used in scientific research, technical documentation,

and international standards development. It facilitates the exchange of information

among experts, organizations, and consistency. In metrology, precise and uniform

language is essential for ensuring accuracy in measurement procedures and calibration

standards. In standardization, English enables the creation and implementation of

universally accepted norms, making products and services compatible worldwide.

Therefore, proficiency in English is vital for professionals working in these fields to

effectively contribute to global progress, innovation, and quality assurance.
