Abstract

This paper explores the pivotal role of the English language in driving

global economic development across sectors such as international business, education,

technology, diplomacy, and media. It presents data and scholarly perspectives to

highlight English’s function as both a facilitator of global opportunity and a

contributor to linguistic inequality. Through analysis of global trends, institutional

policies, and the digital economy, the study underscores English’s growing influence

and the need for inclusive language education policies
