English proficiency plays a pivotal role in the advancement and effective
utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), and
Cadastre innovations. As these fields increasingly rely on global standards, technical
documentation, and collaborative research, English serves as the primary medium for
communication and knowledge dissemination. This paper explores the significance of
English language skills in accessing technical resources, participating in international
collaborations, and implementing cutting-edge technologies in non-English-speaking
regions. Through literature review and case studies, the research highlights the necessity
of English proficiency for professionals to fully leverage advancements in GIS, RS, and
Cadastre systems.
