In the rapidly evolving field of agricultural technology, the ability to access
and utilize international knowledge and equipment has become essential for countries
aiming to modernize their farming practices. Uzbekistan, a country where cotton
remains a strategic agricultural product, is increasingly adopting advanced cotton
harvesting technologies that are widely used in developed countries such as the United
States and Australia. These technologies, however, often come with operational manuals,
digital interfaces, and training programs available exclusively in English. This article
investigates the integral role of the English language in understanding and operating
modern cotton harvesting machinery in line with international standards. It explores how
English proficiency enables access to global knowledge, enhances operational safety,
improves productivity, and fosters international collaboration. By analyzing real-world
examples of machinery, training systems, and global practices, the article emphasizes
the need to integrate English language education into Uzbekistan’s agricultural
development strategies, particularly in technical and vocational education. The findings
highlight that bridging the language gap is just as crucial as technological investment
itself in modernizing the country’s cotton industry
