THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORMS IN TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of online learning platforms has transformed the educational landscape, particularly in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). This study examines the effectiveness of such platforms by analyzing their pedagogical frameworks, user engagement, and learning outcomes. The results reveal that online learning platforms significantly enhance language acquisition through personalized content, interactive tools, and accessibility, although challenges such as technological barriers and lack of human interaction remain.
