THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH-UZBEKISTAN TRANSLATION EXERCISES FOR STUDENTS
Abstract
This article is devoted to studying the importance of English-Uzbek translation exercises for students in the educational process. Translation exercises not only teach students to express their thoughts correctly in a foreign language, but also help them understand the linguistic and cultural differences between the two languages. The article considers the role of translation exercises in developing students' grammatical, lexical and stylistic skills. It also recommends methodological approaches to overcoming difficulties that arise in the translation process. It is emphasized that translation exercises in learning a foreign language increase students' interest in the language, develop their creative thinking skills and form communicative competence. This article is of theoretical and practical importance for teachers and linguists teaching English.
