Language development is not only a biological or cognitive process but also a phenomenon
shaped by diverse social factors. Social interaction, cultural environment, education, and
communication practices play a crucial role in the formation and evolution of linguistic competence.
This paper examines the impact of social determinants such as family, community, media, and
educational institutions on the development of language. Particular attention is given to how social
stratification, cultural values, and interpersonal communication contribute to shaping linguistic norms
and individual language acquisition. The findings highlight that language development is inseparable
from social context, and understanding these interconnections provides deeper insights into both
theoretical linguistics and practical language teaching.
